South African AERO aerobatic team: featuring four expertly piloted, exquisitely manufactured XA42s, this marks the team’s first aerobatic performance in Zhuhai, having previously flown in numerous airshows across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. Set to be marked with AERO branding just for the occasion, the team is led by four-time world champion captain Mark Hensman, and features several top pilots, including solo performer Patrick Davidson, a Red Bull Air Race champion. The team will showcase thrilling manoeuvres such as crossovers, synchronised flights, freestyle aerobatics, and formation flying.
Chinese Red Star aerobatic team: the team has achieved multiple firsts in its performance history, including China’s first civilian aerobatic team to use domestically manufactured aircraft; the first civilian aerobatic team to operate the CJ-6 aircraft; and the first Chinese aerobatic team made up entirely of retired senior air force flight instructors. The highly skilled team will deliver an exciting and thrilling four-aircraft formation performance at AERO Asia 2025.
