Unlock the power of the IoT across the automotive industry
Show overview
Fringe programme

With the Internet of Things (IoT) transforming current business practice, the field has become a hot topic due to its growth and development in different industries.

In Malaysia, it’s forecasted that the implementation of the IoT will contribute RM9.5 billion to the country’s economy by 2020, and a further RM42.5 billion in 2025.

Throughout Automechanika Kuala Lumpur 2019, the IoT will become one of the important themes at the show. The associated fringe events create a platform for industry experts to discuss the benefits of unlocking the IoT across the automotive industry.

IoT zone

This year, the IoT is one of the spotlights across the fairground. Supported by MDEC – Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, the IoT zone will showcase various applications of the IoT on vehicle and fleet management. The sector will also sit alongside the Truck zone and REIFEN (Tyre) zone in response to the growing commercial vehicle sector.

IoT in the commercial vehicle sector

Efficiency, cost and safety are some of the biggest challenges for fleet managers. By making use of telemetry, big data and smart technology, fleet operators can get real-time information about their vehicles, traffic and products. All these will be discussed in our Fleet Management Conference.
