Gain the attention of the globe’s greenest brands
Brands are answering consumers’ sustainability demands with innovations that will shape the future of fashion. By sourcing eco-friendly natural fabrics, reusing fabric waste, or even 3D printing, it’s clear that apparel companies are looking for solutions to reduce their carbon footprint.
The industry’s green movement still has some way to go, but its potential is great thanks to the global environmental push and China’s decarbonisation policy drive. With these factors motivating the industry to adapt, see why this spring’s All About Sustainability zone is the perfect platform for your innovative solutions.

China’s eco-friendly textile potential
|
In 2020, in their biggest environmental policy move yet, the Chinese government pledged to become carbon neutral by 2060. This, along with mounting local consumer awareness, has prompted textile companies and associations to shift their focus to sustainability.
The China National Textile and Apparel Council is leading the charge, releasing reports promoting different aspects of eco-friendly innovation. They also plan to support over 90 well-known brands and manufacturers in their environmental journeys.
However, there’s still a long way to go. With concentrated and high speed development predicted over the next few years, there’s a raft of opportunities for green pioneers to stake their claim.

Why it’s All About Sustainability at Intertextile Apparel
|
The zone debuted in 2013, in response to the industry’s increasing focus on eco-friendliness, and has gone from strength to strength ever since. It acts as a platform for sustainability related NGOs, certifiers, testing companies, chemical and dye firms, and manufacturers; and a showcase area for outfits and collections crafted with eco fabrics. In addition, the fair’s concurrent events include eco-focused seminars, panel discussions, and product presentations.
A significant portion of over 80,000 visitors were sourcing sustainable products at our previous Spring Edition. With the potential for another high visitor count at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) next spring, the fair’s All About Sustainability zone provides an ideal opportunity to win their business.

Previous visitors’ testimonials

“I come to both editions of Intertextile Apparel to find inspiration every year, not just at the Trend Forum, but also from exhibitors who showcase their latest materials and fabrics onsite. At the fair, I can clearly feel that the entire market is paying more attention to sustainable and functional fabrics, with a desire to return to nature and to have a more comfortable, skin-friendly experience.”
Ms Bella Lin, Designer, CGC (Shanghai) Corporation
"When visiting the fair on this occasion, along with the previous few times, I could clearly feel that the booths at Intertextile Apparel have become more and more ‘green’, which is great!”
Ms Karen Du, Director, Sustainable Fashion, Impact Hub Shanghai / Managing Director, R.I.S.E. Sustainable Fashion Lab, China
