In light of the need for a more sustainable apparel industry, China is taking the initiative to promote the recycling of renewable resources such as textile waste. In fact, it is predicted that the recycled yarn market will reach USD 5 billion by 2025, after growing at a CAGR of 6.5% during 2020 – 2025.

Moreover, organic plant-based fibres (extracted from fruits and plants such as hemp, lotus flowers, pineapple leaves, discarded coffee grounds, banana trees, etc.) have also become new favourites at Yarn Expo.
