Potential for functional textiles in the Chinese and global markets
With the majority of business meetings taking place in front of a laptop at home, leggings, sweatpants and loungewear have quickly become inherent pieces of our professional wardrobes. According to Research and Markets’ forecast, the global sportswear market is expected to grow at a CAGR of over 7% during 2020-2026.

With government-backed fitness policies and increased spending power, China itself is a large consumer market for sportswear. Based on iiMedia Research, it is estimated that throughout 2021, the retail sales of sportswear in China will reach USD 41.5 billion, an increase of 6.9% compared to 2020. Join Intertextile’s Functional Lab now and showcase your functional textile products to Chinese and global buyers!

Dual channels to reach buyers online and offline
Despite the pandemic, many local branch offices of international apparel brands continued to attend the fair in 2021. Their sourcing activities were facilitated by one-to-one onsite business matchings, so having a booth and showcasing your products onsite are key to maintaining your presence in the Chinese market!

At the same time, exhibitors were able to connect with overseas buyers via the fair’s business matching platform Connect PLUS, while onsite exhibitors conducted online meetings with overseas VIP brand buyers who joined the business matching programme.
