Protective textiles: demand is surging across manufacturing, construction, and healthcare sectors, particularly for flame-resistant, chemical-resistant, and safety work clothing. According to Vietnam+, Vietnam’s PPE capacity expanded six-fold during the pandemic, strengthening its global supply chain position.

Sportswear & functional apparel: based on Mordor Intelligence’s projection, Vietnam’s functional apparel market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7 – 9% up to 2031, fuelled by urban youth culture, and rising health awareness. UV protection, and antibacterial properties are in strong demand.

Nonwovens: the global nonwoven fabric market is set to exceed USD 76 billion by 2029 (CAGR 6%). Vietnam is actively gaining ground, but limited domestic production creates strong import and technology opportunities.
