China projected to maintain its position as global leader for cotton mill consumption
Cotton mill usage is predominantly influenced by global textile demand, and according to OECDiLibrary, global cotton consumption is projected to reach 24.4 million metric tons by 2032. China alone accounts for over 31%, highlighting the country’s continued strong demand for cotton yarns and fibres.

As Chinese consumer awareness for sustainable fashion grows, demand for recycled, bio-based, and biodegradable products is also on the rise.

Previous exhibitor’s comment
“Huafon has been participating at Yarn Expo for over a decade, as it is a key platform to enhance our brand awareness in both domestic and overseas markets. Results have been consistently strong across all spring and autumn editions. As the first industry trade fair after the pandemic, this year’s show saw high visitor attendance levels including an increase in overseas buyers. We have also received numerous enquiries about our recyclable spandex, as sustainability is a major trend.”
