1. Application of Sound System & Acoustic Technology

Topic: Effective Sound Control Measures – Case Study of Stadium Sound Systems in South Korea

 

Speaker: Mr Gun Chang Moon, Technical Director of KOBIEA and Professor of Department of Broadcasting Sound Media Technology, Daelim University

 

As an expert in audio & acoustic design science, Mr Moon will give an introduction on speech intelligibility and measurement, and explain what it takes for a good frequency response of stadium sound system.

Topic: Audio & Acoustic Basic Consideration in Auditoriums

 

Speaker: Mr Jae Pyoung Kim, President of KOBIEA and Professor of Department of Broadcasting Sound Media Technology, Daelim University

 

Mr Kim will address topics on noise control in auditoriums and introduce the applications in room acoustic parameter and sound system design.

2. Enhancement of Event + Stage Performance

Topic: Safety, a Leading Core Value in Live Events

Speaker: Mr Jaime Welton, Technical Director of

               Wukesong Arena, Beijing

                Mr Jimmy Chan, Director of Asia Business
                Development, Event Safety Alliance

 

This session covers a spectrum of issues affecting health and safety for venues – from advice and recommendations for safe planning in venues to successful events and principles that emphasise good health and safety management.

Topic: From the Development Process of Illumination Source to the Change of Theatre Lighting Aesthetics – Tungsten to LED

 

Speaker: Mr Chuan-Fu Liu, Lighting Designer, Managing Director of Taiwan Association of Theatre Technology, Associate Professor of National Taiwan University Department of Drama and Theatre

 

The session will discuss optical principles, color temperatures and color renderings of different light source materials together. Practical experiences in stage lighting design with specific examples regarding theatre productions will also be presented during the forum.

3. Introduction to Real-time and Media Networking Technology

Topic: Introduction to Dante Networking (2 Levels)

 

Speaker: Mr Bernie Farkus, Senior Technical Sales Engineer, Audinate

 

1. Dante Certification Level 1 – Introduction to Dante

 

Are you new to the Dante Networking Technology? This introductory course will get you up to speed with audio and networking concepts, and offer valuable perspectives on how to assemble and operate a small, stand-alone Dante audio system.

 

Upon completion of this training course, learners can create an account on Audinate’s website to do an online test. A Dante Certification Level 1 certificate will be given on successful completion of the test.

 

2. Dante Certification Level 2 – Intermediate Dante Concepts

 

This course prepares attendees to design larger Dante Network Systems and provide detailed and useful background information in audio networking.

 

* This course does not assume any previous background in computer networking.

Topic: Real-Time Networks (TBC)

 

Speaker: Mr Cameron O’Neill, Director of Asia-Pacific, Riedel Communications

 

Mr O’Neill will present the latest real-time networking technology and solutions that can be broadly used worldwide for broadcasts, pro-audio, events, sports, theatres, communication and security applications.
