Prolight + Sound Guangzhou

PLSG2020 scales up in wake of burgeoning pro AV market

Prolight + Sound Guangzhou’s (PLSG) preparation is in full swing. Held from 19 to 22 February 2020, this edition will be the largest ever:

•	150,000 sqm (↑15.4%)
•	1,500+ exhibitors
•	85,000+ visitors

With the continuous transformation inside the industry, more and more technologies are maturing and their prospects for commercial use increase. These unprecedented levels of growth and demand have resulted in PLSG becoming a vital platform for the industry to embrace the potential in China’s market.

New hall arrangement and expansion

The huge market demand reflects the need for expansion at the 2020 edition. The expanded show will now occupy 16 halls at Area A and B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex.

Area A will showcase pro audio products, technologies and solutions:

•	Five Audio Brand Name Halls The Communication and Conference Hall will be adjacent to the two Media Systems and Solutions Halls at Hall 4.2 and 5.2
•	Two KTV Halls at Hall 4.1 and 5.1, showcasing related products alongside theatre K pub and home entertainment elements

Area B will showcase professional lighting, stage technologies and equipment with two new product categories:

•	Projection & display technologies
•	Control & interface systems

New fringe set-up at Area B will echo industry shift towards digital innovation

Light, sound, video and multimedia art showcase

Chinese media giant Visual Jockey will present a larger concurrent fringe set-up in Area B, where the professional lighting equipment will be showcased. It aspires to offer the audience an immersive multimedia experience with sound design, 3D mapping, lighting installations and new media art.

PLSG Annual Training Course

The PLSG Annual Training Course will expand its topic coverage. Local and overseas experts will share their thoughts on topics concerning applications in the commercial, tourism and cultural sectors, in response to the latest audio visual integration development trend. In the era of "Internet of Everything", the combination of technology, culture and entertainment will create fresh opportunities and momentum for the industry. Education sessions and product demonstrations will enhance audiences' experience with advanced technologies such as digital, network and immersive technologies.
