Huddersfield Cloth Ltd (United Kingdom)
Booth number: 5.1 – G61

Product group: Wool

Situated in West Yorkshire is the town of Huddersfield. Its cloth history dates back to the 1700s, when residents discovered unique water properties, ideal for washing wool, in the River Colne and Holmes.

Large scale mill production was established during the 1800s, with the integration of a vertical process, from the scouring of raw wool to the finishing of woven cloth. Increased manufacturing of fine cloth required a high level of expertise, making Huddersfield a name most recognised with woollen cloth and later, fine worsted.

Huddersfield Cloth continues this tradition to this day; still located at the heart of Colne Valley, bringing the world Britain’s finest cloth.
